It’s hard to believe that today, January 14, it is 28 years ago we put our 8 suitcases and ourselves in the train to Schiphol Airport and flew to Athens, Greece to start our adventure with Mercy Ships. For me, Marianne, it was my first flight ever and little did I know that flying and sailing would become an ordinary part   of my life. Here we are, a little older, a little wiser (hopefully), still serving God. No longer living on the m/v Anastasis, and the reality is, there is nomore Anastasis. Since January 1980 our family has grown, we left with the two girls and Stefan was born in the early Greece years. Now 28 years later, the kids all adults, even enjoying some grandkids! Since October 2004 we have made Sierra Leone our home. If you click on the different possibilities left on this screen you can see what we have all been up to.
