Joshua Update

thumb_evelyn_and_joshua_august_2008thumb_joshua-school-uniform.jpgJust before I left Sierra Leone I was glad to meet with the director of the SOS Children’s village in Freetown, this place is only a 10 minute drive from the Clinic and we would pass it daily to drive to the team house, in that meeting the director made clear that Joshua would be placed. It has been a long process that started in June/July 2008. But today January 6, 2009 I am glad to let you know ....

that his caretaker Evelyn and a co-worker at the Centre Terri - took Joshua to the SOS village this morning and Joshua as of today will live in his new home, each home has about 6 or 8 children living in it, Joshua's new family has two boys his age, his house mom’s name is Cynthia and seems a nice lady. Joshua seemed fine with his new surroundings. He will start attending the school at the same property as of tomorrow, the school is a well known school for non SOS residence children, one of the best in Freetown, we are very thankful that it finally all worked out. Joshua will not be allowed to have any visitors for one month, to be able to get used to the place. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks…
